A meaningful initiative by SVSU to create bond between Parents and Teachers: Parents – Teachers Interaction Meet

About The Event:
Department of Students’ Welfare of Shri Vishwakarma University Organised The Parent Teachers Meeting for D.Voc, B.Voc and M.Voc courses on 12-10-2019 ,10 am-4 pm to discuss about students’ progress and to acknowledge the presence of parents an integral part of the University. It is the vision of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sh. Raj Nehru to take parents’ valuable suggestions for shaping the personality of the students. He strongly believes that the Parents and the teachers together can transform the lives of students in a better way. To implement this vision, Department of students’ welfare took this initiative. Prof R.S Rathore, Dean Academics and Prof Jyoti Rana, Dean Students’ Welfare designed the structure , guidelines and schedule to make it effective. It was not possible to make it happen without the minute to minute detailing of Prof Ashok Srivastava, Dean Engineering. We could arrange and make it successful it because of the strong and effective team of faculty members, course coordinators and OJT Incharges.The Parents were intimated about the meeting well in advance through different mode by coordinators and faculty members.

The interaction was conducted at, WIT,Sohna, Transit Campus, Gurugram and at all the industries. It was a great pleasure to have the cooperation of our industry partners. The faculty members interacted with parents not only one to one but on phone and through skype also.
The Discussion was focused on student’s specific strengths and weakness in individual subjects and students discipline in classrooms, Attendance in concern classes, Consolidated class wise Sessional Marks and Attendance status. Prof Rathore, Dean Academics shared about the opportunities whereas Prof Jyoti Rana, Dean Students’ Welfare explained the students’ activities going to be held in the university in future. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor congratulated the whole SVSU team for the successful conduction of the interaction. Parents expressed their happiness for having their ward studying in our esteemed SVSU University. They also expressed their gratitude regarding the care taken by the University for the Growth of their wards. Department of Students’ Welfare is extremely thankful to the Hon’ble VC for his guidance and the whole SVSU team.
