On 30th, January 2020, the Skill Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, organised its second lecture series, on “Gandhi’s Idea of Swaraj”. The subject of lecture was a tribute to the famous soul of ‘Bapu’ who was assassinated on 30th January 1948.
Before the beginning of second Lecture Series, prayer was offered to Goddess (Maa) Saraswati on the auspicious day of Vasant Panchami.
The lecture Series began with the tribute to Mahatama Gandhi on his 72nd Death Anniversary. The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Madhukar Shyam (SVSU), and keynote speaker was Amit Sinha and Guest of Honour was famous Gandhian Prof. Y. K. Ranjan of DCAC University of Delhi.
Students of B. Voc. Public Service, presented paper of the Gandhi’s Work ‘My experiment with Truth’. Prof Y.K. Ranjan informed the students about the simple but meaningful lifestyle of Gandhijee along with his concept of Sawaraja and the utility of the same in the contemporary times.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Amit Sinha, and Dean (Academics) Prof. R.S. Rathore, special thanks to the Speaker Prof. Y. K. Ranjan, for enlightening the Students on such a vibrant subject.
