It gives us immense pleasure and privilege to share that Department of Students’ welfare Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Dudhola, Palwal (SVSU), India’s first govt skill university is celebrating its Annual Cultural Fest –नैपुण्य-2019 (Naipunya-2019) on 5 November 2019 at Auditorium, Apparel House, Sector 44, Gurugram, 122003.

The purpose of this fest is to identify the talent of students and to groom them for participating in national and international level competitions. The Fest will include the participation of our more than 500 students and 32 various competitions. It also includes the Heritage Art & Craft items of Haryana. Let’s motivate the students to participate more and more.

Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to take on more responsibility is a great way to contribute. It is your intention, commitment and confidence of people on you which helps to take and complete these responsibilities with a happy note. I also felt the same while organising the university’s 1st Cultural Fest- “NAIPUNYA-2019”, as Dean of Students’ Welfare on Nov. 05, 2019.

We could host a Galaxy of Dignitaries: Prof. (Dr.) Mohamad Shoukr Nada, Cultural and Educational Counsellor, Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Laxmi Aggarwal, Pt Ajay Prasanna, Leading flautist of India, International Poet Sh Dinesh Raghuvanshi, Sh Ravinder Rana, VP Concentrix, Mr Arvind Kaul, Managing Director, East-West Automation, Mr Ramesh Aggarwal, Director, Bikanervala, Mr. Dharam Rakshit, HR Head, Dharuhera Plant, Hero Motor Corp.

The event started with the performance of Mr. Ajay Prasanna, India’s Leading Flautist,International Performer, who mesmerized the audience and uplifted the mood and enthusiasm of the audience and specially, of students. Then, we welcomed the Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Mohamad Shoukr Nada, Cultural and Educational Counsellor, Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt; the Chief Guest, Sh. Raj Nehru and all the dignitaries. All the dignitaries were invited for lamp lighting. Thereafter, the audience was enthralled by the Classical Dance Performance by Ms. Anjali, followed by Banchari Performance by SVSU students and Haryanvi Folk Dance by Ms. Aan Parashar.

Ms. Lakshmi Agarwal, Founder-Stop Sale Acid, Brand Ambassador-Women Courage, was requested to share some inspirational thoughts, which really touched the heart of everyone sitting there.
The Guest of Honour and the Chief Guest were requested to come and share their view-point. Then, Prof. R.S. Rathore, presented a vote of thanks to all the Dignitaries. Finally, our Chief Guest announced the start of the cultural fest and all the students were asked to participate, enjoy and maintain decorum.

NAIPUNYA-2019 included 35 events not only in music, dance, theatre, fine arts categories, but technical, and Heritage art & craft (Haryana) also. These events were scheduled at four Venues and about 200 participation was there. Participants were stars who were shining in 35 competitions.

Eminent personalities namely, Dr. Anju, Munjal, Singer and Music Director; Dr Pragati, Classical Dancer & Trainer; Mr Anil Arya, Chief Editor, Gurgaon Today; Mr Mahender Sharma, National Poet; Ms Urvashi Agarwal,Director, Prabhat Prakashan; Mr. M.M. Singh, Hero Moto Corp, Dharuhera Plant; Ms Garima Sehgal, Creative Writing Consultant; were invited to judge the different performances in the cultural fest. Also, Dr. Ashok Shrivastava, Dean Engineering, SVSU; Col. Utkarsh Rathor; Dr. Raj Antil; Dr Manikanwar, Assistant Professor, SVSU; Mr Amit Sinha; Dr. Raj Kumar, Capacity Building; Dr Sanjay Bhardwaj, DD; Mr. S.S Malik, Ms. Chanchal Bhardwaj, AR; and Ms. Simmi Somasundaram, DD were also co-judged the various events.

The ambiance was full of excitement, joy, thrill, entertainment and happiness. Kudos to 200 participants.

Finally, the time came for Valedictory session, and the results of each event was announced. There were special awards for those participants who excelled in a category. The winners were happy and thankful to their mentors, while a few were inspired to take participation in the next year.

My heartfelt thanks to our Hon’ble VC Sh. Raj Nehru for his vision, guidance and for giving this opportunity. Thanks to the wonderful organizing team and everyone who was directly or indirectly involved in organizing and managing the event, without their support and co-operation, this event could not have been a great success. Also, thanks to the all the wonderful volunteers!
